Seahorses are actually fish that have an exo-skeleton instead of scales. Their bodies are made up of hard, bony plates that are fused together and have a fleshy covering. They are rare in that they pair for life and the male seahorse actually carries the babies. Seahorses are mystical symbols of patience, kindness, and contentment.
